Shopping
Try to plan your meals for the week ahead, making a list before you shop. Lack of planning is often the downfall when following a new eating plan.
Avoid shopping when hungry!
Read food labels carefully. The Heart Foundation tick can be helpful to guide your food choices.
Stock up on heart healthy pantry staples eg. tinned tuna/salmon, kidney beans, brown rice, wholegrain pasta, unsalted nuts, canned or dried fruit and frozen peas.
Choose fresh produce in season.
